Advance Costs for Your Claim

In North Carolina, the law mandates that the clients of attorneys are legally responsible for the expenses that are incurred in pursuit of their legal claims.  Additionally, attorneys are prohibited by the North Carolina State Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct from lending money to clients for ordinary living expenses.  However, we may choose to advance case and litigation expenses to our clients, interest free, in order to reduce the financial burdens on them and avoid delays in the pursuit of their respective cases.
